About

Welcome!

We’re an Irish-Indian couple based in London with a shared passion for discovering the world one glass at a time. From the winding roads of Tuscany to the hidden cellar doors of Serbia and the crisp whites of Constantia, we’ve spent years chasing authentic, off-the-beaten-path wine experiences and we created this blog to share them with you.

Whether you’re a seasoned wine lover or just curious about planning your first wine trip, our goal is to bring you honest tips, real photos of our experiences and itinerary insights from lesser-known regions we’ve explored. We love unique tastings, generous pours and authentic conversations with winemakers who still work the land by hand. There really is a whole world of wine to explore

We met during COVID in Hong Kong in a local Spanish wine bar called Ciacoe (shout out, Wan Chai!) that has since closed. We clicked over a shared love of wine, travel and bad dating stories. Together, we plan, explore, photograph and write all the content you see here.

When we’re not travelling, you’ll find us trying out wine bars in London, planning our next adventure or considering a YOLO return to the South African winelands for the rest of the week.

Why The Wine Tourists?

We’re not sommeliers or critics. We’re everyday travellers who happen to increasingly plan our holidays around wine. For us, wine is never just about what’s in the glass. It’s about the place, the people and the stories that bring it to life. Part of our intention with blogging is to capture and document the memories for ourselves.

Here, you’ll find:
Vineyard recommendations you can actually visit
Wine travel itineraries that blend culture, food and tastings
Honest snapshots and reflections from the road

We’re so glad you’re here. Whether you’re planning a wine holiday, looking for tips, or just scrolling through, we hope The Wine Tourists brings you a taste of the magic we’ve found along the way.

Cheers,
Aisling and Kaustav, The Wine Tourists
